The Global Analytics group at Chubb is seeking a VP of Claims AI to join our fast-paced, high energy team responsible for delivering AI, ML & NLP-based solutions to our business partners to influence claims metrics positively. The position would lead a team of data scientists and engineers responsible for delivering analytics solutions for claims globally across lines of businesses and geographies. It requires the application of a combination of cutting-edge models and innovative solutions using structured and unstructured data from multiple sources and applying appropriate AI tools to build, evaluate and implement models to influence claims outcomes positively.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners and peers in the claims organization to understand and scope business problems, establish success criteria, and plan project tasks and timelines.
  • Drive execution of all aspects of analytics initiatives including exploratory data analysis, feature creation, AI model development, validation, deployment, evaluation, and benefit estimation.
  • Research, recommend, and implement AI methods and other computational methodologies appropriate for the given model or analysis.
  • Create excellent relationships with partners across the Chubb claims organization, IT, and analytics peer groups.
  • Effectively communicate results in written, oral and presentation formats.
  • Manage a team of data scientists and engineers towards delivery of organization initiatives. Set clear goals and monitor team performance against the goals.
  • Identify technical and business training needs for team members to effectively improve business outcomes through application of cutting-edge tools and technologies.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years AI background with programming experience in Python required. Hands-on experience with supervised and unsupervised modeling and emerging big data technologies.
  • Experience with natural language processing and deep learning models. Working knowledge of gradient boosting and random forest.
  • Understanding of data architecture, including cloud databases and approaches to extracting data.
  • Experience driving the development of data visualizations to support model implementation and tracking.
  • The ability to multi-task, learn new things quickly, excellent problem solving & communication skills.
  • Collaboration, knowledge sharing and keeping up-to-date on emerging industry trends.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing a team of data scientists.
  • Experience in the P&C industry is preferred. Experience in claims analytics is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in a computational science or statistical field preferred.

In Jersey City, NJ the pay range for the role is $128,500 to $215,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found at .
