The role
Serve as a subject matter advisor to various business functions across the organization in Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICoFR). Play a critical role in the design, scoping and implementation of Aspens ICoFR and maintenance of process narratives and process flow diagrams. Our Aspen Values are expected to be reflected in the delivery and performance of every role.
Key duties:
- Support the implementation of annual ICoFR activities.
- Maintain and update ICoFR process documentation and controls.
- Coordinate audit requests.
- Assist with the development and implementation of an ICoFR training program.
- Liaise with key business groups to establish, support, and maintain solid business relationships and organizational effectiveness.
Skills & experience
- Bachelors Degree (or equivalent).
- Prior work experience within a multinational financial services organization.
- General understanding of financial reporting, insurance, and accounting processes.
- Understanding of the principles and application of good corporate governance, operational risk and process and control landscapes.
- Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and related internal control frameworks.
- Awareness of risks and controls relating to core business systems and platforms.
- Audit, Risk Management or Project Management experience.
