$80,000 - $100,000 Base Salary + Bonus

Our client is a leading provider of innovative solar panel manufacturing and distribution. The are one of the fastest growing companies in the cleaner energy space with a mission to make clean energy more accessible.

They are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a dynamic and forward-thinking organization in the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage revenue recognition processes in compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
  • Monitor and analyze project costs and progress for percentage of completion accounting.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and operations, to gather necessary data and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise.
  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of internal controls and accounting processes.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant standards.
  • Support audits and examinations by providing necessary documentation and information.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in revenue recognition principles and percentage of completion accounting.
  • Proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with NetSuite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
