Our client is a Plastics Injection Molding company who has been in business for over 50 years! They support the Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Medical, Dental, Pharmaceutical and OEM Application industries. Due to continued growth, we are seeking to add a direct hire Quality Assurance Technician. The company offers a comprehensive insurance benefit program, 401k and generous PTO.

Postilion Summary:
The QA Technician works under the direction and supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager. This position assists to investigate, improve, and support products and process quality efforts. Is part of a cross-functional team that partners with internal manufacturing and external customers, working with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions:
  • Assists with the development, modification, maintenance of quality plan development, quality control systems, processes and protocols.
  • May assist with internal, external customer and suppliers to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable standards and that quality documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • Investigates deviations and out of specification results.
  • Work with manufacturing, customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
  • Skilled in use of various inspection tools including: hand gages and optical comparators.
  • Performs evaluation of customer returns, non-conforming material and process changes.
  • Provides assistance to Quality Inspectors.
  • First Piece and First Article inspections
  • Ability to program and conduct CMM inspections
Job Qualifications:
  • ISO 9001 & FDA GMP knowledge.
  • Knowledge of production and inspection policies, processes, procedures, and equipment.
  • 3+years of Experience in Quality Assurance or related field.
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Computer proficiencies including Word and Excel.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience in a production facility in the medical device industry.
  • ASQ/Six Sigma/Lean training or certifications.
  • Knowledge of various Quality systems.
  • Some knowledge of CMM programming and measurement methodologies.
Work Environment/Physical Activities
  • Usual production environment involves sitting, walking, standing, and occasionally climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing.
  • Occasionally lifts or carries 35lbs while working in the production environment.
  • Visual capacity including depth perceptions, color vision, and peripheral vision enabling operation of inspection equipment.
Shift:
7:00 to 3:30 Monday to Friday
Occasional OT hours when available

Hourly Pay:
$30 - $34 per hour
