We are currently seeking a Metrologist with the below qualifications: Professional Attributes Programming of CMM and Optical Measurement devices (Zeiss, Brown and Sharpe , OGP, Micovu) Perform First Article Reports Compile data for capability studies Execute Gauge R&Rs Ensures that customer and internal quality requirements are met Work with the team on Validation activities during the part approval process Create and documents programs while maintaining revision tracking and control Work with the team on training quality personnel on CMM and Vision System inspections When required, complete Cpk studies for Quality Engineering, new, transfer and engineering change projects. Working closely with Program Manager and Quality Manager to determine root cause and resolve low Cpk results When required, complete validation gauge R&R studies and/or develop testing/inspection methods per customer specific requirements Aid in training the staff of new programs or quality related processes Support daily production with measurements and CMM run needs Prepare metrology reports and other related correspondence General support for supplier related measurements Provide and implement continuous improvement and cost savings ideas Submit documentation changes when needed to update work instructions to the Quality Specialist - Document Control Will be proficient in the use of CMM machines, SPC database, calipers, pin gauges, and all standard and custom- made measurement tools within the quality department Work with the team to support root cause and corrective actions for customer and supplier nonconformances Analyze data to determine trends or areas of concern to improve overall processes Perform other duties as assigned Desired Skills and Experience High School Diploma or GED Plastic Injection Molding: 5 years CMM Program a must: 5 years OGP Programming a must: 3 years Quality inspection: 10 years Manufacturing: 5 years CMM Training Proficient in various metrology and measurement techniques Strong organization, teamwork, and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of statistical analysis tools (i.e. process capability, SPC, GR&R, etc.) Proficient in MS Office software and data entry Advanced CMM Training GD&T training and understanding Experience in the IQ, OQ, PQ Validation process Development and implementation of new fixturing and measurement techniques What You'll Love About Us: Salary: (Based on education and experience) 11 Paid Holidays, Sick Pay, COVID Sick Pay, Vacation Pay 401K, Plus Employer Match Medical, Dental, Vision, Company Sponsored Life and AD&D, Short and Long Term Disability, Paid Parental Leave, and More We understand how COVID has affected many businesses around the globe.
