Hexcel is currently seeking a Quality Engineering Co-Op for our South Windsor, CT, USA location.

Hexcel is currently seeking a Quality Engineering Co-Op for our South Windsor, CT, USA location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Learn quality inspection methods and complete quality inspections on a variety of equipment.
- Support Quality Engineering on quality-based projects.
- Active member of continuous improvement team to meet the plant's production and quality goals.
- Demonstrate the ability to cooperate, work and communicate with co-workers, supervisors and subordinates and/or outside contacts and customers.
- Perform problem solving and data gathering activities supporting process improvements and defect root cause investigations.
- Revise and generate process sketches and inspections plans.
- Develop and perform process trials and analyze the results while working closely with our production operators.
- Must be comfortable working directly with manufacturing personnel in our production environment.
- Assist Quality Engineering in supporting manufacturing operations as directed.
- Comply with Hexcel Safety Program, Quality Management System, policies, procedures and Code of Business Conduct at all times.
Qualifications:
- Field of study: mechanical or manufacturing engineering or related fields.
- Previous experience in fast-paced, competitive engineering and manufacturing environment a plus.
- Solid PC and CAD skills preferred.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Candidate must have ability to define problems and interpret a variety of technical instructions.
- Must have solid organizational skills and be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
