Responsibilities:
Work off shifts (2nd & 3rd) to support the time studies.
Reevaluate current assembly processes and develop new sequences and operations based on continuous improvement principles.
Maintain time standards for established processes and update standards when processes change.
Conduct labor capacity analysis and identify/manage improvement initiatives to increase efficiency (OLE).
Develop methods to increase productivity, maximize efficiency and manage human capital more effectively.
Recommend capital investment strategy to meet product delivery and cost targets.
Evaluate the effects of schedule and product design changes.
Design layouts of equipment and workspace and improving process flow.
Ability to prioritize many details into a broad view of the total organization.
Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
Ability to work effectively with other engineers, technicians, operators, and management.
Strong analytical, creative thinking and project management skills.
Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and adaptable to changing priorities.
Working knowledge of product manufacturing / process technologies.
Self-starter and able to work with minimal direction.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations.
At least 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Data mining & manipulation experience with Excel, VBA, SQL, other methods.
Experience with process improvement and development of standard work.
Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills. Ideal candidate will be able to work well with floor operators, peers, and management.
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
