The mission of the Produce Line, within the R&D department is: Design, develop and manufacture increasingly innovative, high-performance and reliable industrial technological solutions (i.e., those that can be mass-produced and easily assembled) at the best overall cost for Lectra and in line with our environmental and social responsibilities. Responsibilities Position Summary: The Electrical Engineering Manager manages a team of 5 people in Tolland (Connecticut). He/she ensures the proper distribution of resources in the "product" teams as well as all activities related to good Electrical design and methods practices, versatility within the team and the training required for this versatility or for the team's increased competence. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage resources dedicated to mechanical design and those dedicated to "Electrical" methods for the design of new mechanical sub-assemblies in the context of new equipment for the evolution of existing parts Ensure the proper distribution of resources according to the loads present in the "product" teams in order to ensure the capacity required by the study managers on current projects, Participate, with his team, in the development of new procedures or organizations to increase quality, reliability and productivity in daily missions, Develop versatility and ensure the sharing of best practices within the team, Ensure that environmental constraints are taken into account in the design process, Make employees accountable and, with the study managers, unite them around the objectives, Actively participate, with his/her team, in the continuous improvement of the "Produce" line and the production of projects for our factory in Tolland. Actively participate, with his/her team, in the continuous improvement of the projects' production runs at our subcontractors in charge of manufacturing the finished machines. Setting up and monitoring relevant indicators. The Electrical Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring that the "product" team has the expected capacity, in terms of design and methods, to handle the subjects as planned. He/she must promote good practices throughout the team in a change management approach. He/she ensures that the designers have the right level of training for the work assigned to them and does what is necessary to improve their knowledge and the versatility of the team. He works with the technical applications administrator to improve the tools available to his team (addition of modules, purchase of expert software, etc.) and prepares training on these tools. (Electrical CAD, PLM, ERP,...)
