Get ready to discover the unexpected as a part of our #uniquelyexperian summer internship program.Job DescriptionAbout this roleThe Data Engineer Intern will work as part of a team to maintain and develop optimal data pipelines for extraction, loading, and transformation of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS 'big data' technologies. They will work with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure a quality product is delivered.Responsibilities:Will work as part of a team to maintain and develop data pipeline solutions, including building new data ingestion process to data lake.Ingest and Process data from various sources in raw, structured, semi-structured, and unstructured format into Big Data ecosystem.Implement and optimize data transformation processes in Big Data ecosystemMust be able to understand and develop data ingest and extract strategiesMust be able to communicate ideas and analysis results effectively both verbally and in writingQualificationsWhat your background looks like:Currently enrolled in a minimum of a Bachelors degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related degreeBe returning to school in the Fall of 2023 to complete degree programAbility to execute complex data extraction and ETL projectsAbility to ingest data into large, complex data lake using programming, SQL and ETL toolsUnderstands software development principles and operationsExperience in Python, PySpark, SQL, and knowledge of other computer languagesExcellent one-on-one communication and presentation skills, specifically able to convey technical information in a clear and unambiguous mannerExperience with Hadoop systems preferredAdditional InformationPerksThis position can be 100% remoteVolunteer Time OffCompetitive payFlexible work schedule and relaxed dress code401(k) after 90 days of employmentAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Experian is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
