Data and Analytics Analyst (Mid-Level)

Position type: Full-time Location: Remote

Summary:

We are seeking a mid-level Data and Analytics Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in data and analytics, with a strong background in SQL development.

Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is a big plus. Experience with general-purpose programming languages and basic web development is also desirable. Past experiences with ETL, Phocas, Power BI, Akeneo, REST APIs, and Excel are beneficial but not required.

Knowledge of the Wholesale Distribution industry is valued, as well as experience with Epicor Eclipse ERP system and/or the Kore Technologies Kourier Integrator software.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, enhance, build, and debug in an existing MS SQL environment.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SSRS reports.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SSIS packages.
  • Perform general analytics and statistical modeling on existing data sets in various areas of the business (e.g., Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, etc.).
  • Preparing data verification and testing methods for data/applications loaded into the warehouse to ensure data integrity and conformity to quality standards.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand and document their data and reporting requirements.
  • Data collection, processing, cleaning, and visualization.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop and support data-driven solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in SQL development
  • 3-5 years of experience in data and analytics
  • Knowledge of design patterns and best practices
  • Ability to communicate complex information easily.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and methodologies
  • Familiarity with APIs and other approaches to systems integrations
  • Basic understanding of alternative data management systems such as relational, dimensional, NoSQL, etc.
