Job DescriptionData Analyst/VisualizerDescriptionThis is a temporary to permanent position. M.T. Maritime Management LLC is currently seeking a Data Analyst/Visualizer, tasked with consuming datasets containing ship voyage operational and financial data and creating visualizations that allow users to derive insights, understand the data, and create actionable responses. These reports will be for internal management and will range from status and troubleshooting to business development and financial reporting. The Data Analyst/Visualizer is a highly motivated individual with both technical and creative skills responsible for creating reports and helping to maintain dataflows using Board Applications. This person will be part of a team that reports to the VP of Finance. Essential FunctionsConsume data to produce reports and analysisCommunicate with various teams to develop data and report requirementsTranslate business questions into Board dashboards and reportsTranslate technical and detailed information into easily consumable and accurate reportsAssert guidance and recommendation of visualizations for analysisCollateral Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist in creating and maintaining documentationAssist in mentoring a growing base of Board usersRequirementsJob SpecificationsExperience with Board, Tableau, Power BIExperience with MS-SQL or Other Relational Databases a plusExperience with handling large data and maintaining report performance a plusAbility to understand complex and technical datasetsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a working knowledge of statistical analysis and data transformationAbility to create highly polished and professional reports in a timely mannerAbility to communicate effectively and gather detailed requirementsCreative thinker that can study a dataset and tell a story visuallyQualificationsBachelor's (Preferred)Data management: 1 year (Preferred)
