This position is responsible for managing all Henry Schein's domestic tax related matters as they pertain to accounting for income taxes in the global organization - including planning, compliance and provision. Work directly with the VP of Global Tax and Senior Tax Director on all domestic tax matters, which include the review of the domestic tax provision as well as the review of all domestic corporate income tax returns. Must be proficient in OneSource and Corptax software and have strong computer skills. Interact directly with all domestic Finance Directors to ensure compliance with all federal and state income tax laws. Assists in managing the worldwide tax provision of approximately $300 million annually.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manages the compliance functions for the preparation of the Henry Schein, Inc. & Subsidiaries federal consolidated tax return as well as all state and local income tax filings utilizing OneSourceCorptax Tax Software. Responsibilities include requesting information from domestic Finance Directors for the preparation of the tax returns. Review federal and state tax returns.
* Manages all domestic tax related matters as they pertain to FASB 109 and ASC 740. Reviews the quarterly domestic tax provision which is included in the global effective tax for financial reporting purposes utilizing Onesource Tax Provision. Assists in preparation of tax footnote for public filing as well as the quarterly documentation requirements.
* Reviews and analyzes domestic income tax expense and tax related balance sheet accounts to ensure balances are correct based on provision and estimate/extension calculations.
* Reviews calculation of estimates and extension payments for Henry Schein, Inc. and all domestic subsidiaries to ensure sufficient payment of federal and state income taxes.
* Interacts directly with domestic Finance Directors to ensure proper calculation of tax provisions and tax related balance sheet items, compliance with local tax laws and communicate tax true ups and other tax related issues.
* Manages the Tax Department's HFM data files. Works closely with the financial reporting Team to make certain all data extractions from HFM are complete and accurate.
* Reviews tax expense allocations to ensure federal and combined state tax liabilities paid by Henry Schein, Inc. are correctly allocated to the various subsidiaries
* Conducts and reviews tax research for domestic taxation using various resource and research tools to ensure proper compliance, identifies potential tax planning strategies and determine potential ways to lower the overall global effective tax rate.

Use best practices and knowledge of business issues and strategic direction to solve complex problems where precedent may not exist; recommend solutions to business challenges. Demonstrate strong judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Network with senior internal and external personnel inside and outside own area of expertise.
SUPERVISION:
Receive minimal instruction on day-to-day work and minimal instruction on new projects or assignments. May act as a resource to provide formal guidance for TSMs with less experience. Assignments can be broad in nature. May manage vendor relationships.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 6 to 8 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. May hold one or more industry certifications.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Typically, to advance to a new job level, TSMs must demonstrate professional behavior and should consistently be at the high-end of meets expectations or consistently exceed expectations.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
The posted range for this position is $83,520 to $146,160 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
