Job Description Introduction Sonics, a leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of ultrasonic technology, is seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Coordinator to join our ultrasonic welding sales team in Newtown, CT. Sonics supports a diverse customer base serving the Plastics and Metal Welding, Packaging, Cutting and Sealing industries. Sonics utilizes state-of-the-art machinery and design tools to maintain our cutting edge approach to research and development. Our 60,000 sq.ft facility located in Newtown, CT houses the latest in machining equipment and ultrasonic horn analysis software. Sonics looks to advance the ultrasonics industry by cultivating an environment that fosters the spirit of innovation and creativity upon which the company was founded over 5 decades ago. Job Description In our effort to grow our ultrasonic welding line (both plastic welding and metal welding), we have created the position of a Sales and Marketing Manager for the Ultrasonic Welding Division. Candidate must possess superior oral, written, and communication skills. The candidate must have the ability to grasp the working of semi-complex technical instrumentations, and must be detail and people oriented, and self-motivated. Responsibilities include product line management, strategic planning, and market research, budgeting, advertising and sales. Must have trade show experience, and a familiarity with developing and maintaining world-wide distribution system. Position reports to the Ultrasonic Welding Product Manager. BA or BS required, MBA preferred. International and national travel 40%.
