Thanks to our employees, we were named Built-in Boston's Best Places to Work in 2020.If you'd like to play an active role in building a green future of transportation, we'd love to hear from you.As a member of our engineering team, you will conceive, design, and develop innovative software systems that bring environmental cost and sustainability benefits of electrified vehicles to our customers.Your role at XL FleetWhat you will do: Work with the Engineering team to define a Systems Engineering framework and support the rollout of this framework Lead the eliciting and documenting of project requirements at the vehicle, system, and sub-system levels Cascade requirements from highest levels through to implementation levels; focus on Controls/SW requirements and supporting electrical, mechanical, thermal, etc. Ensure traceability between each requirement level Lead FMEA activities Define validation criteria/test methods and work with the Engineering team to conduct and document results Ensure inclusion of applicable requirements from relevant standards Support applicable System Safety and Cybersecurity processes, and ensure documentation of project requirements that are derived from these processes Support the development of project specification documentation. This may be in a textual format, Model-Based Systems Engineering format, or a combination of both Work with Program Management team to track and communicate project status to project team Ability and willingness to drive development vehicles (CDL not required) Limited travel required to test facilities and customers, which may include international travelQualificationsJob requirements: 3+ years of Systems Engineering support in the field of electrified vehicle development Direct experience with developing and/or reviewing MATLAB Simulink/Stateflow developed control systems for safety-critical systems Direct experience programming in C, C++, MATLAB Simulink/Stateflow Direct experience with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, J1939, UDS, CCP) Practical working knowledge of FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and Design (DV) & Production (PV) planning and testing Skilled in Microsoft Office applicationsWhat are some of the benefits of working at XL Fleet?
