The **Senior Quality Assurance Test Automation Engineer** will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality of Health Language s word-class commercial software and content products by ensuring effective testing (manual, automated, and performance), facilitating effective communications throughout the software development lifecycle in an agile development environment, and championing/driving/empowering quality throughout the development process.**You will work with a small team of QA Engineers supporting 4 product lines in a healthy established Agile environment running 2-week sprints. You'll have direct access to Product Development, be working in Azure cloud and have exposure to AI and Machine Learning projects** .**Essential Duties**+ Prepares test plans (i.e. reviews requirements, use case, design specifications, and technical documentation in order to build a testing strategy).+ Ensures requirements and design are linked to test cases.+ Writes test cases with steps and expected results.+ Executes test strategy developing automated tests and defining manual test scenarios.+ Writes automated UI and API tests using Selenium Webdriver.+ Designs and improves current automated test framework.+ Executes and reports findings of test case according to plan and allocated timeline.+ Collects and creates testing data necessary to run test plans.+ Responsible for defect management. Works closely with the development team to bring issues to closure, logs defect in Jira tool, and creates defect status report.+ Certifies application for production. Assists release team in creating release notes and makes the release available to the team and users.+ Works with technical team on environment needs for testing.+ Works with DevOps teams on supporting Production Sev 1 issues.+ Assist coworkers and customers with technical issues, problem investigation, and training.+ Work closely with agile development team to define test strategy and verification steps for new product features and functions.+ Acts as an advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.+ Ensures timely quality delivery identifying milestones, mitigating escalations and project scope creep, executing root cause analysis and making decisions on showstoppers+ Adopts and promotes standardized software quality assurance practices.+ Develops and documents effective test cases, release test plans, and other QA documentation.+ Acts as subject matter expert for technical writer to define, develop and validate user documentation.**Minimum Qualifications**+ 5+ years' experience deploying and testing software on Windows, Linux or Unix operating systems and/or AWS+ 5+ years' experience working with relational databases management systems.
