Successful and growing industrial manufacturer in the Greater Waterbury area is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer. Excellent career opportunity.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the design and integration of robotic and intelligent equipment controls into
new and existing manufacturing systems
* Develop systems and build prototypes
* Design and build completely new systems by integrating various technologies
* Develop new solutions to industrial problems using mechanical and electronic processes
and computer technology.
Build and test factory production lines introducing automation to improve existing processes
Apply advanced control systems
Detailed troubleshooting of production line automation components, involving electrical and mechanical systems
Technical support and software changes to PLC equipment
Including schematic knowledge, ladder logic, drive installation, and basic programming.
Continuous improvement and modernization of older systems
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Troubleshooting Automation Direct, Siemens, Allen Bradley/Direct Logic lines of PLC's
and HMI's as well as integrated software and VFD controls.
Write in advanced control system programming for Automation Direct
* Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic,
hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required
maintenance and service.
* Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
*Requirements*
*1. Associate s or Bachelor s Degree.*
*2. 3 or more years of PLC Programming experience. *
*3. 3 or more years of Automation Project experience for Process Plants.*
