ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is a well-known nursing home with locations in Seymour, CT

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



    • Process payroll in an accurate and timely manner on a weekly basis for salaried, part-time, and seasonal employees


      • Compile payroll deductions such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401K deductions.


        • Review time clock report information for completeness and accuracy


          • Contact department supervisors for any missing times


            • Process weekly transfer of payroll data to online system


              • Compile internal management reports from payroll system software


                • Process purchase orders in an accurate and timely manner


                  • File taxes so that all requirements are met while avoiding overpayment


                    • Process expense reports in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with departmental procedures



                    EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE PAYROLL ROLE:


                    • Payroll processing experience

                    • Experience with Paychex or similar software

                    • Proficient in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS

                    • Strong attention to detail

                    • Ability to analyze and make changes as-needed
