ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client is a well-known nursing home with locations in Seymour, CT
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process payroll in an accurate and timely manner on a weekly basis for salaried, part-time, and seasonal employees
- Compile payroll deductions such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401K deductions.
- Review time clock report information for completeness and accuracy
- Contact department supervisors for any missing times
- Process weekly transfer of payroll data to online system
- Compile internal management reports from payroll system software
- Process purchase orders in an accurate and timely manner
- File taxes so that all requirements are met while avoiding overpayment
- Process expense reports in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with departmental procedures
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE PAYROLL ROLE:
- Payroll processing experience
- Experience with Paychex or similar software
- Proficient in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to analyze and make changes as-needed
