Become a part of the "strength within."Hexcel is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our South Windsor, CT, USA location.The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:Create, modify, analyze, and optimize 3D models for printing from customers' CAD designs.Define build parameters, transfer model files to printers, and document relevant process records.Manage material lifecycle and plan manufacturing and quality operations using ERP software.Develop and maintain effective and responsive engineering support essential for maintaining quality and on-time delivery of product.Define corrective actions for product nonconformance.Provide analytical and organizational support to Engineering Manager, as required.Provide creativity by proposing new ideas or find innovative and better ways of performing job duties.Provide daily support of production status meetings and weekly support of production planning meetings.Demonstrate the ability to effectively cooperate, work, and communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and subordinates, and outside contacts and customers.Create Statement of Work (SOW) for the engineering projects and activities.Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or similar technical degree and a minimum of two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in fast-paced, competitive engineering and manufacturing environment, preferred.Proficient with SolidWorks and Materialise Magics, or equivalent.Proven verbal and written communication skills are required.Demonstrated ability to define problems and interpret various technical instructions.Must have proven organizational skills and be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.Microsoft Dynamics AX experience a plus.Eligible candidate must be: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, a person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, a temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Act, a person admitted in refugee status, a person granted asylum.
