Manager, Software Engineering, Full Stack- Consumer Intelligence (Remote Eligible)

Team Info:

The Consumer Intelligence (CI) team's primary objective is to bring the voice of the customer to bear on business decision making and as an enabler in our quest to change banking for good. The CI Team delivers tracking for the Enterprise across numerous fronts:

1. Customer experience measurement via CEMP (NPS & other KPI s) across touchpoints, moments and at an enterprise level

2. Brand Health measurement in the context of financial services providers

3. Competitive benchmarking vis a vis proprietary NPS tracking, Brand Health monitoring and key syndicated sources (e.g., JD Power)

As an incoming member on the CI team, you can expect to use relevant, cutting-edge technologies which are prevalent both within and outside of Capital One. The CI team has a rich and constantly expanding technology stack, including but not limited to Python, Spark, Scala, Angular, Snowflake, Kafka, Docker, Jenkins. By working on these various technologies, not only will your coding skills improve, but you will also have an opportunity to expand your knowledge on Cloud technologies, and gain a better understanding of how the infrastructure which supports the code is implemented. This team is fully Agile, and utilizes 2-week sprints, meaning that you will collaborate with other developers on the Tech and business teams to ensure that the features you deliver are meeting expectations.

What You ll Do:

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company

• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community

• Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment

• Utilize programming languages like Python, JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Apache Spark, Snowflake, and Go, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree

• At least 6 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)

• At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

• At least 2 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree

• 7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Python, JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Apache Spark, Snowflake, or Go

• 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service

• 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks

• 5+ years of people management experience

• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
