Overview:The School of Business at Quinnipiac University invites applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching and contributing to a collaborative team to apply for a full-time Assistant Professor tenure track or teaching track faculty position in computer information systems with a blockchain technology and architecture specialization to begin August 2023. In this role, you will develop and teach exciting new courses in blockchain technology at the undergraduate and graduate level. The successful applicant will also be an active member of the university community by engaging in the development of new programs, certificate and badge programs, university service, advising, and research. The university's innovative curriculum further prepares undergraduate and graduate students to understand their roles and responsibilities as members of the Quinnipiac community as well as the larger national and global communities.Responsibilities:COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY The successful candidate will demonstrate support for diversity, equity and inclusiveness as well as participate in maintaining a respectful, positive work environment.+ Develop and teach experiential courses both on ground and online in the Blockchain area, including Foundations of Blockchain; in addition, may be asked to teach business analytics and/or information systems.+ Teaching load is a 3/4 (teaching track) or 3/3 (tenure track).+ Help identify Blockchain learning objectives for our programs.+ Other duties include, advise and mentor students; prepare and deliver active learning course content and engaging class activities; compile, administer, and grade assignments/examinations.+ Help to build external partnerships for guest speakers, internships, job placement, and curricular development (e.g., sources of case studies).+ Maintain an active research agenda appropriate for the position (tenure-track or teaching-track).Education Requirements:Tenure Track Education Requirements+ A PhD or DBA in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field from a research-oriented program. Candidates who are ABD with potential for high-quality teaching are encouraged to apply.Teaching Track Education Requirements+ A minimum of a master s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field is required.
